For the Love of Billy Dove

Today I was honoured to hold a stall at a dear friends charity fun day, to help raise money in the battle against knife crime, and to help raise money for their family member who was tragically lost to this awful crime to have a memorial erected in his name, - Billy Dove.

We were all there to remember him, and support his family, who did a terrific job organising the day. Heart radio hosted the day and many celebrities came along to help raise money. The sun shone all day... it was a day to remember, my heart goes out to all Billy's family and friends who miss him everyday. Thank you for asking me to be part of the special day and have a stall.

Moving Day!

Today was moving day at the Swan Antiques Center! Lots of hard graft this morning paid off as I am now officially moved into the Heron Room on the first floor!

I must say it is kind of bitter sweet because as much as I am excited to be in my new "home" in the shop I am mourning the loss of my cosy corner in the Swift Room. Talking to a fellow dealer today she agreed with me that it's sad to leave a well worked space as you leave your 'imprint' behind. I think that is true....but I am hoping I will soon bring the good vibes to my new room and have lots of happy times (and sales!) there!

All Change

Hi y'all

Well it's been quite an eventful week so far.... One of the reasons being, because I am going to leave my lovely corner of rented space in the jolly named 'Swift' room at the Swan Antiques and Interiors shop in Boxmoor....but..... I am moving to pastures new in a larger room of which I will have Double the amount of space!!! Yippee!!

My poor husband is so happy that he will finally have a house that doesn't resemble an antiques market! I haven't let him in on the fact that the house will only be empty for a short while until I slowly refill it with more stock;)

Above is my current space and as much as I love it and have been very happy here, I am tres excited for a complete overhaul and to create a lovely new atmosphere in my new "home".  

I will post again once I have moved with some pictures of my new space, cant wait! 

Potting Bench

So the sun is finally out and its hot hot hot!

So I have restocked my outside shop space with lots of delicious garden goodies, including a really cute  potting bench. I painted it a mellow sage green colour and customized it with 'my potting bench' lettering across the back. It looks super, especially at the shop with little accessories to set the scene!

In fact I have gone a bit crazy for lettering lately, especially on my instagram feed! So to feed my addiction of lettering I have now decided to add it to the items I sell aswell! So one very sore finger later (due to me using a very unsuitable blade for cutting my stencils!) I have a unique potting bench and two garden signs.....but I can tell this is just the start of another obsession! (well, once I have bought another blade for cutting!)
